What qualities does it take for someone to be successful at Godiva?
Passion for the product, passion for the company. If you have passion and enthusiasm, everything else seems to fall into place. If you enjoy what you do, that comes across to the people you work with as well as the customers.

What’s the work culture like at Godiva?
Godiva makes sure you know that there are opportunities if you want to work for them. They will provide all the tools you need to grow. New people coming in should never feel stuck where they are.

How does working at Godiva compare to your previous work experiences?
Well, I stayed here for 20 years! When I worked in Human Resources, I worked for good companies, but they didn’t provide the growth opportunities that this company does.

What do you do in your current position to help achieve Godiva’s "Gold Standard of customer service"?
If you do not have customers who come back time after time then you do not have a growing business. So, customer service is a very important job. If you get a customer that complains, that’s a very good thing because, if we can make them happy and turn them around, they're going to order again.

How does Godiva show it cares for its employees?
It’s every manager’s responsibility to encourage the people that work for you to grow and learn new things and take challenges and opportunities. As long as you’re doing your job and you’re doing a good job, they will provide you whatever you need to meet whatever personal goals you have.

What’s the most challenging thing about working at Godiva?
Understanding that the company needs to change in order to grow and constantly being aware of what those changes are. And of course, in my job, meeting the customer’s expectations.

What’s the best thing about working at Godiva?
One of the best things about working at Godiva is how proud you can be of your company, and I really mean that. The best thing is to be able to be proud of the product you put out, the service you put out, the image your company has – that’s a very satisfying thing.
